Industrial Visit to Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali

The Department of Biotechnology organized an industrial visit for the B.Sc. Biotechnology 3rd semester students to the Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali, Punjab on 09/09/2025. The students were introduced to various state-of-the-art laboratories at INST and gained valuable insights into ongoing research in the field of nanoscience and technology. During the visit, the students were given demonstrations on the principles and working of high-end instruments such as Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. They also explored microscopy techniques including Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Confocal Microscopy. The interactive sessions with experts allowed the students to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications, significantly enriching their academic learning.

This industrial visit proved to be highly beneficial for the students as it not only enhanced their technical skills but also motivated them to explore research opportunities in emerging scientific fields.
