Scholarship Categories

Explore the full range of scholarships available under the EMPOWER scheme.

1. Academic Excellence Scholarship Merit-Based

This flagship scholarship rewards outstanding academic performance and aims to attract top talent.

Eligibility

UG programmes: Class XII percentage or JEE Main percentile or NEET Percentile, Diploma percentage for Lateral Entry (LEET).
PG programmes: Percentage in qualifying UG degree or national entrance exam percentile (CAT / GATE*).
* Note: GATE exam results of only core branches will be considered.

Maximum 10% of sanctioned intake per programme. Scholarship is offered on a first-come, first-served basis subject to verification.

Subject to SGPA >= 8.0 every semester.

2. Alumni Progression Scholarship (PG Programmes) PG Programmes

Purpose: To encourage CGC Landran UG graduates to pursue postgraduate studies at the institution.

Eligibility

CGC Landran alumni admitted to M.Tech., M.Sc., MCA, or MBA programmes.

Benefit

Rs 10,000 scholarship.

Cap

25% of intake (M.Tech. / M.Sc. / MCA) and 10% of intake (MBA).

Renewal

SGPA >= 7.5.

3. Early Admission Scholarship (PG Programmes) PG Programmes

Purpose: To reward early confirmation and support timely fee payment.

Eligibility

Students who submit full fees and complete enrolment for PG programmes (M.Tech., M.Sc., MCA, MBA) before the prescribed cut-off date.

Benefit

Rs 5,000 one-time fee waiver.

Cap

20% of intake (M.Tech. / M.Sc.) and 10% of intake (MBA / MCA).

4. Special Category Scholarships Overall cap: 5% per programme

4a. Single Girl Child Scholarship

Purpose: To promote gender diversity and support single girl children.

Eligibility

Students who are the only girl child in their family.

Benefit

5% semester fee waiver.

Renewal Condition

SGPA ≥ 7.5 every semester.

4b. Sibling / Girl Child Sibling Scholarship

Purpose: To encourage siblings to study together at CGC Landran.

Eligibility

Real siblings

Benefit

5% semester fee waiver to one sibling (5% each for both female siblings).

Renewal Condition

SGPA ≥ 7.5 every semester.

4c. Alumni Referral / Relative Scholarship

Purpose: To strengthen alumni connections and family ties with the institution.

Eligibility

Real brother/sister/spouse/wards of CGC Landran alumni.

Benefit

5% semester fee waiver.

Renewal Condition

SGPA ≥ 7.5 every semester.

4d. Staff and Faculty Wards Scholarship

Purpose: To support the wards and family members of CGC Landran employees.

Eligibility

For wards/spouse/real siblings of serving employees with minimum one year of service at CGC Landran.

Benefit

5% semester fee waiver (for employees with salary > ₹25,001)
10% semester fee waiver (for employees with salary ≤ ₹25,000)

Renewal Condition

SGPA ≥ 7.5 every semester.

4e. Sports and Cultural Excellence Scholarship

Purpose: To recognise and reward exceptional achievement in sports and cultural activities.

Eligibility

Students with proven achievements at international, national, state, or district level (supported by certificates).

Renewal Condition

Active participation in sports/cultural activities + minimum passing CGPA every semester.

4f. Defence and Armed Forces Wards Scholarship

Purpose: To honour the service and sacrifice of defence and armed forces personnel by supporting their wards.

Eligibility

Wards of martyrs/Shaheed or serving/retired personnel (documentary proof required).

4g. Single Parent / Orphan Scholarship

Orphan (both parents deceased) or single parent (mother) – supported by relevant documents.
