The Centre for Boudhik Sampada, a department within the RISE division at CGC Landran, is an in-house Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) cell established on April 23, 2024, in Block-7 of CGC Landran. Operating under the guidance of the Director of Research, the centre aims to encourage innovation and safeguard the intellectual contributions of students, faculty, and regional innovators. It is staffed by 8 members and supported by 12 advisory board members.
This specialized intellectual property management centre was launched with full backing from CGC management and funding from the Punjab State Council for Science & Technology (PSCST) as part of the TISC Centre of Punjab initiative by the Government of India. PSCST has also set up an Intellectual Property Management & Commercialization Cell to facilitate the commercialization of innovations from CGC and the surrounding region. Furthermore, an IP Clinic has been established by PSCST to address intellectual property inquiries, with PSCST officials visiting CGC to offer their support.
