CGC Landran Inaugurates North India’s First Mitsubishi Electric Centre of Excellence

We are thrilled to announce a landmark milestone at CGC Landran-the inauguration of the CGC–Mitsubishi Electric India Centre of Excellence, the first Centre of Excellence of its kind in North India. We had the honor of the lab being inaugurated by Mr. Atsushi Takase, Managing Director, Mitsubishi Electric India, and Mr. Sunil Mehta, Assistant Vice President and Head of Customer Service, along with Mr. Manoj Gupta, Assistant General Manager, Customer Service Department. 

The distinguished guests were warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. Rajdeep Singh, Campus Director; Dr. Ashok Kumar, Director -Academic Affairs; Dr. Sukhpreet Kaur, Director Principal, CEC-CGC Landran; and Dr. Vinay Bhatia, HOD ECE-CGC Landran, along with the HODs and faculty members of the various departments. 

The visit began with an insightful tour of the Centre of Excellence, where the guests explored advanced machinery and interacted with students who shared their experiences and learnings. The lab visit also featured a panel inauguration and a cake-cutting ceremony. A meaningful tree-planting ceremony followed, with a neem tree (Azadirachta indica) planted by Mr. Atsushi Takase, symbolizing growth and a shared commitment to a sustainable future. An MoU was subsequently signed, further strengthening the partnership between CGC Landran and Mitsubishi Electric India. 

The inauguration ceremony, held in the presence of the honorable Vice Chairman of CGC Landran, Parampal Singh Dhillon, marked another significant step toward industry-oriented education, technological advancement, and experiential learning. The event concluded with a speech by the Director-Academic Affairs and a commemorative group photograph.
