World Intellectual Property Day

Department of Business Administration, CBSA, organized a session on “World Intellectual Property Day "on 28th April, 2025 for BBA students. It was organized with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of intellectual property (IP) in fostering innovation and creativity. The event sought to educate students, professionals, and the general public about the significance of IP rights and their impact on businesses, technology, and society. The event was kicked off with an opening speech by Mr. Navneet Sheoran, who emphasized the importance of intellectual property rights (IPR) in today’s digital and innovation-driven economy. The speaker stressed the need for businesses, entrepreneurs, and students to understand and protect their ideas, inventions, and creative works to ensure their success in the global market. The speaker covered the fundamental aspects of intellectual property, explaining its different forms (patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets) and their practical applications in various industries. The session also provided a brief history of the development of IP laws globally.
