Workshop on “Nanotechnological Tools for Biomedical Application”

Students of Chandigarh College of Pharmacy, Landran had a valuable opportunity to participate in a workshop on “Nanotechnological Tools for Biomedical Application” at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali on 25 th April 2025. The day proceeded with an Inaugural talk delivered by Director INST, Dr. Akash Deep on different aspects of nanomaterials, their challenges, and their applications. Dr. Asish Pal, Scientist-F, talked about interdisciplinary strategies of nanoscience from a chemistry-biological perspective. Further, the technical lecture on plasmonic nanostructures derived from metal organic frameworks for photothermal applications was delivered by Dr. Asifkhan Shanavas, Scientist-D. Moreover, students participated in hands-on practical sessions covering advanced instrumentation and characterization techniques such as TEM, SEM, NMR, Confocal Microscopy, and FACS. Demonstrations on nanoparticle synthesis, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and DLS analysis provided a valuable bridge between theoretical understanding and real-world laboratory practices.
