Safe Use of Medicines

Chandigarh College of Pharmacy organized a medicine awareness program at Government School, Sante Majra, to educate students on the safe and rational use of medicines. The initiative highlighted the dangers of self-medication, misuse of antibiotics, and the importance of consulting healthcare professionals before taking medicines. CCP faculty members Dr. Sonali Singh and Ms. Komal Kaistha, along with students of Pharm.D conducted interactive sessions and delivered an informative lecture on the “Safe Use of Medicines.” Posters, charts, and a short quiz further reinforced the key messages. The program attracted enthusiastic participation from over 50 students and several teachers. The event successfully enhanced students’ understanding of the risks of self-medication and the growing problem of antibiotic resistance.
