Chandigarh College of Hospitality, CGC Landran, in collaboration with the PGI Blood Bank, successfully organized a comprehensive Health and Wellness Camp on January 11, 2025, at Sector 114, Mohali. The event, held from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, was conducted to commemorate National Dietetics Day and aimed to promote healthy lifestyle practices and raise awareness about the critical role of balanced diets in disease prevention.
The students of B.Sc. Nutrition and Dietetics played a pivotal role in the event by offering free diet consultations and Body Mass Index (BMI) checkups to the attendees. They also demonstrated the preparation and benefits of functional foods, educating the community on their nutritional value and their potential in preventing lifestyle-related diseases. These interactive sessions provided valuable insights into adopting healthier eating habits and making informed dietary choices.
