CCT CONDUCTS AWARENESS ON LYMPHATIC FILARIASIS

The theme for Filariasis Awareness is- “MISSIONI TO ELIMINATE FILARIASIS by 2027.”

Lymphatic Filariasis Awareness was conducted by Department of Biotechnology, CCT Landran to create awareness among students and villagers about causes and effects of Filariasis also known as Elephantiasis.

In order to create more awareness among all, students of Department of Biotechnology staged a Lymaphatic Filariasis awareness campaign-Skit “nukkad natak” in village Chuhar Majra. The students emphasized on the fact that "Prevention is better than cure." In addition to this a Filariasis awareness rally was conducted in village Chuhar Majra by Department of Biotechnology. During the visit, students interacted with the residents and made them aware about the symptoms of cancer and how lifestyle can prevent cancer. The residents enjoyed performance and appreciated the students. Along with this different technical events like declamation, quiz and poster making completion were also organized in the department where students showed their talent.
