Hundreds take road safety pledge!

“We need to work upon building a traffic safety culture. Until and unless it comes from within us, we cannot safeguard the roads from accidents”, said the Chief Guest Dr S.S. Chauhan ADGP Traffic, Punjab during the road safety campaign ‘India against Road Crash’ #IARC2020 which was organised by the Punjab Government in association with #CGLandran and Club D2S – Drive smart, Drive safe to mark the 31st National Road Safety Week set on the theme ‘Bringing Change through Youth Power’.

Also present at the event was Dr. Navdeep Asija, Traffic Adviser, Punjab who shared eye-opening statistics of road accidents. This was followed by a pledge taking ceremony for road safety by hundreds of volunteers who were present at the occasion. A walkathon was also carried out to promote road safety rules.
