GUEST LECTURE: ROLE OF AMADEUS SOFTWARE IN TICKETING

As part of the induction program for newly admitted students of Tourism and Travel Management, a highly engaging and informative guest lecture was conducted by Mr. Manish Bharti, Team Leader, Satguru Travel and Tourism LLC.

The session aimed to connect classroom learning with real-world practices, focusing on the dynamics of Business-to-Business (B2B) operations in the tourism sector. Mr. Bharti explained the key differences between B2B and B2C models, highlighting the role of travel agents, tour operators, DMCs, and corporate clients in B2B transactions. A major highlight was the discussion on Satguru Travel’s expansive B2B network. Mr. Bharti elaborated on how the company collaborates with regional agents, offers white-label solutions, and uses advanced tools like GDS, APIs, and CRMs to streamline operations and enhance partnerships.

The lecture also covered critical aspects such as pricing strategies, commission structures, credit policies, negotiation tactics, and risk management. Real-world case studies provided practical insights into the challenges and solutions in international B2B travel.Mr. Bharti emphasized the need for industry awareness, analytical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
