Chandigarh College of Pharmacy in association with Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association (IPGA) Organized National Conference On “Cultivating Industry-Academia Partnerships for Transformative Pharmaceutical Innovations” on 9?? September 2025.The conference was aimed to provide an opportunity to reach the largest assemblage of participants from the pharmaceutical sciences community both from academia as well as the pharmaceutical industrytogether to reimagine the future of pharmaceuticals.The event was graced by the worthy Chief Guest, Dr. Atul Kumar Nasa,(President, Indian Pharmacy Graduates’ Association (IPGA)), Guest of Honour Sh. SanjeevGarg,(Joint Commissioner (Drugs)-State Drugs Controller (SDC) Food and Drugs Administration, (FDA) Punjab). The event started with the welcome address by Honorable Campus Director, Dr. Rajdeep Singh and Director-Principal, CCP, Prof.(Dr.) Rupinder Kaur Sodhi followed by felicitation of various dignitaries from different Pharmaceutical sectors.
Chief Guest, Dr. Atul Kumar Nasa inspired students by sharing his own journey, emphasizing the prestige and values of the pharmacy profession. He also highlighted the career opportunities, and future goals for Pharmacy Students. The Guest of Honour, Sh. Sanjeev Garg, further elaborated on the path from academics to industry, offering valuable insights on career growth. The session was highly informative and encouraging, assuring students of a bright and promising future in pharmacy. It was followed by Panel Discussions on collaborative research and innovation initiated by Dr. Suresh Kumar (Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Drug Research, Punjabi University), Mr. Joginder Kumar (Director, Signoret Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., Punjab), Mr. Sunil Verma (Global Pharmacovigilance Expert, Harom Solutions), Dr. Gurpreet Kaur (Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Drug Research, Punjabi University) Mr. Supreet Singh (CEO-Psychocare Health Pvt. Ltd.) and Mr. Amit Sharma (Documentation Head, Regulatory Affairs, Cipla Pharmaceutical Ltd. Baddi).
Post lunch there was expert sessions on “Upskilling for Impact: Redefining Roles in a Transforming Industry” by eminent Speaker, Dr.Rajni Jha (Director, IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.) and on “From ideas to Funding: An introduction to startup Grants” by eminent speaker Dr. Vandita Kakkar (Assistant Professor, UIPS, Panjab University). Dr.Vandita Kakkar guided budding entrepreneurs through the landscape of research funding and innovation support.The conference was attended by more than 650 delegates from various Pharmaceutical institutes. The conference marked its end with delightful cultural performances by the students and prize distribution of winners of poster presentation from various categories. At the end of day, vote of thanks was delivered by Prof.(Dr.)SupriyaAgnihotri, HOD, Chandigarh College of Pharmacy expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, and organizing members for making the event a grand success.
