Campus to Boardroom: Preparing Future Biotech Leaders

The Campus to Boardroom (C2B) Program was successfully conducted by the Department of Biotechnology in collaboration with the TPP Department, CGC Landran, for final-year students of B.Sc. Biotechnology, B.Sc. (Hons.) Microbiology, and M.Sc. Biotechnology. A total of 20 students participated in this focused training initiative designed to enhance their transition from academic learning to professional success.

The program offered enriching sessions on communication techniques, public speaking, presentation skills, aptitude development, research opportunities, and startup funding avenues.

  • Ms. Deepanshi, Biotechnology Alumna, shared her inspiring startup journey in mushroom cultivation, discussing byproducts, challenges, and grant opportunities.
  • Dr. Nitin Sharma, Associate Professor, sensitized students on the placement process, interview strategies, and self-development.
  • Ms. Jyoti, TPP Trainer, and Ms. Diksha, TPP Coordinator, conducted impactful sessions on aptitude building and verbal skills development.
  • Dr. Jaswinder Kaur, Assistant Professor, Biotechnology, guided students on industrial training opportunities and institutes offering relevant workshops.
  • Dr. Abhinoy Kishore, Assistant Professor, Biotechnology, enlightened students about research-oriented opportunities post-graduation.
  • Ms. Umang, Assistant Professor, Biotechnology, conducted an engaging Communication Crisis practice session to help students sharpen their real-time communication and decision-making skills.

Through C2B, students gained practical insights, confidence, and professional readiness—empowering them to shape their careers with clarity and competence.
