As per a recent report by NITI Aayog, 21 Indian cities are predicted to run out of groundwater by 2020. As water crisis has become a huge concern in the present times, our Department of Applied Sciences, today, organised the ‘Jal Shakti’ event. The aim was to create awareness on the significance of universal access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) facilities in developing countries. The event also focused on advocating for the sustainable management of fresh water resources. The students took part in various activities and competitions like poster making, painting and collage making on topics related to this issue.
