A grand start to Smart India Hackathon 2020!
Smart India Hackathon is an innovative and outstanding platform for the nourishment of inquisitive and innovative minds. This event has been annually taking place since 2017 and CGC Landran feels delighted to be a part of this initiative for the 4th consecutive year.
Chandigarh Engineering College being one of the 39 chosen nodal centers across the country, marked the beginning of this three-day online event.
Today, the Virtual inaugural ceremony at CGC Landran marked the beginning of this 3-day long Smart India Hackathon 2020. The opening ceremony was led by the introduction of the event and lamp lighting.
Our Chairman, Satnam Singh Sandhu along with the Campus Director, management officials, and faculty, extended their warm regards to the Government of India for this incredible initiative and also encouraged the participants for taking part with full enthusiasm. The Chief Guest for the institutional inauguration Dr. Harpreet Singh, Professor and Dean (ICSR) at the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar also addressed the participants and motivated them for the 36-hour competition.
Since this event falls under Digital India–an initiative by the Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi himself will be interacting and sharing his ideas with the CGC, Landran students through video conferencing.
