As part of the induction program for newly admitted students, an insightful industrial visit was organized to Domino’s Pizza outlet, aimed at bridging classroom learning with real-world industry practices. The visit provided students with a firsthand experience of quick service restaurant (QSR) operations and offered valuable exposure to the working environment of a leading global food service brand. During the visit, students were warmly welcomed by the store management team, who guided them through various functional areas including food preparation, kitchen operations, order processing, inventory management, and customer service. Students gained in-depth knowledge about standard operating procedures (SOPs) followed at every level—from dough preparation to final dispatch of the pizza. They observed the use of technology in order tracking and kitchen coordination, and how workflow is managed efficiently during peak hours. The emphasis on personal hygiene, food safety, and waste reduction was also highlighted as a part of the brand’s commitment to sustainable and responsible operations.
The experience proved to be highly enriching and motivating, offering students a clear understanding of operational efficiency, teamwork, and service quality in the food service industry.
