Workshop on ‘Women Capacity Development’

Chandigarh Group of Colleges Landran, in association with Startup Punjab (under the aegis of Start-up India), Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT), and IIT Delhi, conducted a two-day workshop on ‘Women Capacity Development’.

The event witnessed the participation of visionary leaders and entrepreneurs from the field of Marketing and Finance including Dr. Sarandeep Singh, Startup consultant, Investment Advisor and Head of the NGO – WEE Foundation and Mr. Vikas Gupta, founder of Chartered Eagles. This workshop was one of the series of Four Workshops which were announced by Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal, Hon’ble Minister of Finance, Punjab, on 29 Feb 2020.

In the course of two days, these experts shared insights into the legal and financial requisites for launching startups. In this workshop, various practical exercises to help women entrepreneurs in grasping the knack of building striking marketing strategies were also organized. During this session, the eminent speakers took sessions on Venture Ideation, Business Model Validation, Innovative Marketing, and Branding Techniques, Financial Insights, Legal & other compliances, and Scaling-up through customer acquisition.

This two-day workshop reached a satisfactory conclusion where the aspiring entrepreneurs pocketed the flair, plan and quintessential information for launching startups.
