CGC, Landran is the first among all technical institutes in Punjab which can rightfully claim of having made a significant contribution towards the development of the State by setting up the first center for E-Governance as a joint venture with Punjab Government. The main objective of E-Governance was to provide an efficient and transparent administration, making the government machinery far more useful for the general public. Therefore, teachers and students joined hands for computerization of various departments under the state government. It was thus a remarkable moment in the history of CGC, Landran to be a part of such a wide-ranging development program. Speaking at the inauguration of this prestigious project, Dr. Pramod Kumar, Chairman, Punjab Governance Reforms Commission, highly appreciated the initiative taken by CGC, Landran and emphasized that this two-edged program will bring positive and constructive changes. As the first step in this direction, the project on the computerization of jails was successfully implemented in partnership with Punjab Infotech.
