E- Governance Center

CGC, Landran is the first institute of all the technical institutes in Punjab which can rightfully claim of having made a significant contribution towards the development of the State by setting up the first centre for E-Governance as a joint venture with Punjab Government. The main objective of E-Governance was to provide an efficient and transparent administration, making the government machinery far more useful for general public. Therefore, teachers and students joined hands for the computerization of various departments of the state government. It was thus a remarkable moment in the history of CGC to be a part of such wide ranging development programme. Speaking at the inauguration of this prestigious project, Dr Pramod Kumar, Chairman, Punjab Governance Reforms Commission, highly appreciated the initiative taken by CGC, Landran and emphasized that this two-edged programme will definitely bring positive and constructive changes. As a first step in this direction, the project on computerization of jails was successfully implemented in partnership with Punjab Infotech.
