Director- General

   
  Dr. G. D. Bansal

Dr. G. D. Bansal is a well known academician of Chandigarh. He did his B.E. (Mech.) with Honours in 1967 from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. During his four year course of B.E., he was a National Scholarship holder, awarded by Govt. of India. He won a number of scholarships and prizes in his school and in Pre-engineering course also. Dr. Bansal joined his alma mater i.e. the Punjab Engineering College in 1968 as a lecturer and was promoted as Assistant Professor on 01-04-1985. He completed his M.E. (Rotodynamic Machines) with distinction in 1974 from the Panjab University. Not resting in academic pursuit, he did his Ph.D. from University of Roorkee, Roorkee, in 1986 under Quality Improvement Programme of the Govt. of India. He has a rich teaching experience of more than 33 years in the Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.

  Er. Avinash C. Sharma

Er. Avinash C. Sharma has served Military Engineering Services for 8.5 years besides having an extensive experience of 28 years in the senior management cadre in various capacities in Procurement AND equipment, Research activities, Planning and Design of Large Hydro Power Stations of Punjab State Electricity Board and Bhakra Beas Management Board. He had been awarded "Man Of Achievement Award-1999" and "Chairman's silver medal" in recognition to his meritorious services rendered for BBMB in Jan 2001. He has also published many Research/Technical Papers. He is a fellow member of Institution of Engineers (India).

  Mr. Vikas Malhotra

Mr. Vikas Malhotra is working as a Director Development & Projects. His main responsibilities are to advise the board of directors of the best possible options for developing the company's real estate division, develop and get approval for specific plans.


Director CBS

  Dr. SPS Bedi

Dr [Col] SPS Bedi served with the Indian Army for 26 years in the 4th Gorkha Rifles. He participated in 1971 war and captured a sizeable chunk of Pakistan occupied territory in Partapur sector[Ladakh] where the last post on Indian side is still known as “Bedi spur” as it was he with his troops who captured the same in 1971. He held various prestigious Instructional, Staff, Command and Diplomatic assignments in India and abroad. Having sought pre mature retirement from the Army in 1997, he served as a Branch Manager for 5 years with SGS India Pvt Ltd, a premium MNC in the field of Quality control, testing, verification and certification. Thereafter, he served as Director at  two leading Institutes of India for nearly 3 years each. before joining as Director at Chandigarh Business School, Landran, Mohali. Dr Bedi holds Bachelor degrees in Arts and General laws, Masters & Doctorate in Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Systems. Dr Bedi has traveled far and wide both in India and abroad. He has authored a book on Global human Resource Management and is currently also working on his books in the field of Industrial Relations, Compensation Management, Environmental Management and Personality development.


Director Principal

   
  Dr. H. S. Saini

Dr. H. S. Saini is M. Tech. (CS & E) with distinction and Ph. D. in fuzzy expert systems/KBS. He has above 17 years of teaching/corporate training, management and software engineering experience. He has designed and reviewed course curriculums for Undergraduate and Graduate level courses. He posses vast experience to teach and guide B. Tech./ MCA/ MS/ M. Tech. courses.  Dr. Saini has over 10 years of research experience, he has above 20 published articles to his credit, guided above 70 project reports in fields such as web technology, Knowledge Management, Knowledge Based Systems and Fuzzy Expert Systems.

He has worked as Principal, Professor and Dean Academics, Head-Department of CSE & IT at Guru Nanak Engineering College, Ibrahimpatnam, RR Dist  for 3 years. Prior to this he worked as Professor (IT) at Apeejay Institute of Information Technology/ IIMT, Gurgaon. He has been offered position of visiting professor in IT by MISR University for Science and Technology, Egypt. Professor Saini is resource person /consultant to IT companies and is having strong presence in academic and professional circles.

  Mr. Upendra K. Jain

Mr. Upendra K. Jain is a M. Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the most prestigious institute “Deptt of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr.H.S. Gour Vishwavidhyalaya, Sagar (M.P) in 1991. Mr. Jain comes with 15 yrs of vast industrial Experience. He has served various Pharmaceutical Companies i.e. Wockhardt, Emcure,  American Remedies.

  Dr. Neena Sawhney

Dr. Neena Sawhney A Masters in English from Punjab University (1983), Masters in Education from Kurukshetra University (1997) and currently pursuing her Masters in Psychology from Annamalai University, Dr. Neena Sawhney qualified her UGC National eligibility test for lecturer in Education in 1998 and was awarded the doctorate degree in Education from Punjab University in 2004. She began her career as an English teacher in Hansraj Public School, Panchkula 12 years back and ventured into Teacher Education in 1998 as a lecturer in teaching of English at the prestigious Dev Samaj College of Education, Sec 36, Chandigarh. Over the years her experience has been enriched by her active role in curriculum framing, acting as resource person at State Institute of Education, Navoydhya Vidyalya and IGNOU project for Sarv Sikhya Abhiyan, organizing and attending seminars, editing college magazine, framing the Annual report, website and prospectus designing, organizing curricular and cocurricular activities, paper setting and marking, rendering social service and participating in NSS activities etc. Besides this she has attended 3 International, 7 National and 30 State level seminars/conferences and presented papers at a number of seminars/conferences in and around the city.

Ramesh Inder Singh, IAS, chief secretary to Govt. Punjab was the chief guest for the event. Annual day celebrated successfully on 17th March, S. Sonalika International Tractors Limited & HDFC Bank conducted interviews at CEC, Landran. Indian Air Force held Campus Placement Drive at CEC; Satyam selects 550 students during campus recruitment in CEC; Tech. Singh, Dean Exams, PTU presided over the function ; World Chef Day Celebrated by Chandigarh College of Hospitality on 17-10-07; Camp Organized by Chandigarh College of Pharmacy on 16-08-07 for giving Awareness about the latest developments in Pharmaceutical Industry; Teacher's Day Celebrated on 5th Sept., 07 (An aptitude test conducted under the aegis of IETE chapter of the college and all eligible faculty members were promoted to APs and Sr. Lect. on this occasion); Fresher's Party PRISTINE-2007 held on 07-09-07 to welcome the new students of CGC.
